Privacy Policy

Account details: your name, email address and, if you use Google sign-in, your Google profile name and picture.

Billing: your plan and payment history. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store them.

Your content: media, projects, prompts and outputs you upload to or create with our online features. Editing that happens only on your computer stays there.

Usage and diagnostics: which features you use, credit spent, app version, device type, and crash or error reports.

Cookies: only the ones needed to keep you signed in, and to remember preferences such as your theme.

To provide the Service: run your account, sync your plan and credit, process transcription and generation, and keep things secure.

To bill you and to answer support requests.

To send account emails and, unless you unsubscribe, occasional product news.

To improve Bana Video, including training and evaluating our models with your content unless you opt out (see Your choices).

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Bana Video, under contracts that limit how they use it:

• authentication and database hosting;
• email delivery;
• payment processing;
• AI and transcription model providers, which receive only the content needed for the task you asked for;
• cloud hosting and content delivery.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or our rights.

Our providers may store information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We use providers that protect it to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise it within 90 days, except records we must keep by law, such as invoices.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or for a copy of it. Email us and we'll respond within 20 working days.

You can opt out of your content being used to train our models in your account settings or by email. You can unsubscribe from product emails using the link in any of them.

If you're unhappy with how we handled your information, contact us first. You can also complain to the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz) or your local data protection authority.

Bana Video is not for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

If we make material changes we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
